The Romanian RWCT Association, legally registered in April 2002, founding member of the RWCT International Consortium, and of the Federation of European Literacy Associations, a national affiliate of the International Reading Association, is a membership-based professional organization, including teachers and teacher trainers. Its mission is to contribute to the development of a democratic society, by promoting critical thinking skills, cooperation, autonomy, creativity and responsibility in all forms of education, and supporting the pre-service and in-service training of various socio-professional categories. RWCT Romania has experience in teacher training, professional development for educators, and training for parents and youth, in organizing national and international conferences, producing publications (a journal and books for teachers), and implementing a variety of educational projects.

Role of the organisation in the project:
Romanian RWCT Association takes part in the project mentioned above as a partner institution. With its many years of experience in project work and teacher training, RWCT intends to coordinate RO schools that may try a CLIL – that means that members of our association that are pre-university teachers will promote CLIL in their own school and will try themselves a CLIL. RWCT will develop and organize workshops/ a training course for teachers regarding the CLIL methodology. Moreover, Romanian RWCT Association will produce teaching sheets for schools that are developing CLIL experiences and will be involved actively and in constant way in all the phases of the project in order to achieve the project’s objectives, participating in the phase of dissemination of project’s results, monitoring and reporting it and collaborating to insert it in the official website of the project. RWCT will contribute to the achievement of a successful project partnership through active communication.
