Aims and activities of the organisation:
Founded in 1968 ,Hacettepe University, Department of Physics Engineering has about 400 students ,83 academic and 10 administrative staff .Its mission is to educate advanced level physics engineers and researchers,to perform research at international level and to publish scientific results .It has 10 research laboratories, 4 student laboratories(52 physics ,24 electronic experiments available), computer lab,chemistry lab,physics games exhibition room,technical drawing room,reading room,mechanical and electronic ateliers.

Role of the organisation in the project:
H.Ü. Department of Physics Engineering takes part in the project as a partner institution. About 40 percent of the courses are in English in the department according to the rules of the Faculty of Engineering so it has a deep experience in teaching physics in English both in scientific and technical terms, has materials (for example bank of questions in English). The department is responsible also for physics courses for various departments of the university. In this respect the department mainly intends to test and assess CLIL methodology in various departments of the university while involving high schools of Turkey also. It also intends to assist to produce sheets for schools that experience CLIL project, to coordinate Turkish schools that participate CLIL project , to organise training courses for teachers related to the aims of the CLIL methodology.
