Aims and activities of the organisation:
Antonio de Nebrija University, a private university founded in 1995, is named after Antonio de Nebrija, a great humanist and the first grammarian of the Spanish language. In 1492, Nebrija presented the first ever grammar book of a romance language to Queen Isabel: Gramática de la lengua Castellana. It is a top-ten Spanish university, located in Madrid with one campus in town (in the university area) and one in a natural park on the outskirts of city. It’s a small university, around 3000 students, noted for giving students individual attention. It receives around 600 international students each year, mainly from Europe, USA and Canada, being an active participant in Socrates-Erasmus programmes. the student-teacher ratio is 10 to 1 and it has a flexible curriculum. Our department is dedicated to the teaching of Languages in professional areas (Marketing, Communication), offering two degrees, Applied Languages and Translation.

Role of the organisation in the project:
Antonio de Nebrija University will contribute to project by contacting and co-ordinating teachers and schools that might try CLIL methodology, and producing teaching materials as needed. We will also collect information for comparative analysis and participate in dissemination of project results.
