Partners

The partnership, that was formed to implement the project AECLIL, boasts a wide range of skills and sensibilities that make possible the achievement of truly cross-cutting (transversal)  targets in the world of education and training.

The applicant organization is a network of high schools (students from 14 to 19 years) that includes, at present, eleven state schools in the province of Pavia, Northern Italy.
The “Rete CLIL della Provincia di Pavia” consists of high schools, scientific lyceums, technical and vocational schools.
Some of these schools also offer evening classes for adult education.
Even the partners from Bulgaria and Germany are state schools: a grammar school and high school for business studies.

State and  private universities are also partners (University of Pavia, Hacettepe University of Ankara and A. De Nebrija University of Madrid)); there are organizations of teachers (LEND of Rome), training institutes ( IUFM of Montpellier) and organizations aimed at on-line training (STPKC of  Nyköping, Sweden).

There are professional organizations for teachers and teacher trainers, such as the Romanian Reading and Writing for Critical Thinking Association, and  ministerial sectors for education : the Vasts Izglitibas Satura Centrs of Riga, Latvia.

The common interest is to define the value , validated and shared,  of  teaching with CLIL methodology.

All partners are involved in CLIL courses, at various levels.
Some partners are experts in CLIL methodology, others, simply, are involved in teaching science in a language other than their mother tongue, for example at Hacettepe University -  Ankara -  they have physics courses for engeneers.

The common aim is, therefore, to standardize a method to be able to assess accurately whether CLIL teaching methodology can develop skills and attention in active learners, thus, leading  to learning both content and language in an integrated, coherent and comprehensive manner.
