Aims and activities of the organisation:
The “Rete CLIL della Provincia di Pavia” (CLIL Network of the Province of Pavia) aims to foster the acquisition of foreign languages by students through activities focused on the content. The choice was prompted by the convinction that the motivation of the students to communicate in a foreign language can increase if the interest is primarily aimed at the effectiveness of communication. The Network was started one year ago, when 10 secondary high schools decided to group together in order to share competences and resources to foster CLIL activities. It has organized: Seminars: 1. The future of CLIL 2. European projects: an opportunity for schools 3. CLIL: Workable Models and Methods for the Language Class 4. Making sense of the modern classroom Cenference: “The European Projects for the L2 Teachers”.

Role of the organisation in the project:
The role of RCDPV is : -promote cooperation between these institutions for research, teacher training, dissemination of materials, methodologies and tools that facilitate the teaching / learning of languages through content instruction; -develop community awareness of linguistic diversity which European Union is rich; -advertise ( at local, national and international levels) the benefits that the acquisition of skills / competencies in foreign languages produce for a better claim of intercultural attitude in the Union, an awareness of the meaning of European citizenship and economic development between companies, local authorities and enterprises; -encourage the development of online training and education for anyone who lives or is about to enter the Union. Furthermore, RCDPV will keep contact with the transnational net, will take care of the project timing and financial aspects.
